NOVEMBER 15

Home Reading:
Reading is essential to all learning. It is very important to read daily with your child. The children will have a baggie book in their agendas Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Please keep this book for 2 nights. Baggie Book exchange will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only. In the front of the agenda is a set of pages to record home reading. Practcie Buzz words week 9 every night.
The children will bring home the anthology once a week to read certain selections. See the agenda for page numbers. Several small texts for socials, science and health will also be sent home over the next few weeks.
Math:
We are now ready to begin our next unit of study on patterning. Please see note and overview to be sent home Monday. Look for patterns around the home.

Word Family:
EN word family. There will be a quiz on Friday. Please sign and return the spelling test exercise on Monday.

NEW:
Printing folders, continue to work on these and send back to school when completed. Please ensure the printing is neat and follow the driections for proper formation.
NOTES:
1. What a great fundraiser, our sweat-athon raised over $19,000. Thank you to all families who participated!
2. We have children in our school who are allergic to all nuts and pineapple. Please ensure your child`s recess and lunch items are nut and pineapple free. Thanks!!
3. Please put recess and lunch orders in separate envelopes as they go in different containers.

6. With report cards fast approaching, I will be assessing the children on leraning outcomes for most of the month of November. Please practice letters, sounds, buzz words and read every night. I will begin another assessment on Buzz Words weeks 1-8, and running records to assess reading levels.
