Standards for Assignments
When compiling an assignment for any of my classes please remember the following:
1. Always create a title page or cover page that includes
• Title (Be original. Do not pick simple and general titles such as "English Assignment.")
• Student’s name
• Subject
• Date due and /or date submitted
• Teacher's name
2. Assignments can be hand-written (script) or typed but must be completed on white paper and in blue or black ink.
3. Double space. This is so that there is enough room for any comments that need to be made.
4. Use a dictionary! If you are unsure about any spelling, check with a dictionary or use spell check.
5. Double-check grammar. Read your work over, or get someone else to read it, and check for grammatical mistakes.
6. Words and information from any sources other than the student writing the paper must be documented (quotation marks and/or referenced in a bibliography-MLA Style). Any works that have been plagiarized will receive a mark of 0%.
