As far as I know, this is a CRT year for Grade 9 Science. This means this year's Grade 9's will be writing a final exam based on the whole years work. |

Oct 7 We are currently working on Unit 4, Space. |
We have completed Chapter 10 and completed anmin class assignment and 1 lab on the solar system. We are currently working on Chapter 11 and will be writing a quiz on Friday of this week or Monday of next week. |
Students should be spending at least 15 minutes studying and reviewing each night. As well, they also have a term sheet to complete and should be keeping up with the assigned questions and notes. (More on this later) |
Oct. 11 Today we finished the major points on each of the planets. |
Homework tonight - review the major points of each planet. |
We will be having a quiz on Wednesday, Oct. 19 on Chapter 10 and half of Chapter 11. |
Oct 12 Today we took part in Healthy Comm. activities. |

The quiz will probably be passed back on Monday. There were several students who were absent on the day of the quiz and have to write it tomorrow. |

Homework: Questions 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 page 423 and questions 6, 10, 13, 18, 19 pages 424 - 425 |
All students have cvompleted the quiz and have passed in their assignments and labs (to date). These will be passed back on Monday. |

Nov. 7 We are currently finishing off Chapter12 in Unit 1. |
There will be a test on all of Unit 1 next week. Probably the 14th. |

Nov 14 We corrected the final set of questions in Chapter 12 today. |
The Unit test in science will be on Wednesday of this week, We are currently behind in science in regards to time and material covered. Now that students know what to expect, I hope to make up the time over the next two units. |

Dec. 5 Science Fair Projects |
Science Fair Project Proposals are due next Monday (Dec. 12).. Note:Only the proposal is due NOT the actual project. We should be heading to the science lab in the next couple of periods to complete the first lab in chemistry. |
