--School News for this week:
                                New homework site being launched next Monday, November 15
                                Please ensure your child has adequate supplies; right now, too many seem to be short of pencils but heavy on sugar!!!!
                                 Halloween (Witch or Warlock) Manual worked on during class time as well as home time.                                  Due date Thursday, October 28 ONLY SIX HAVE SUBMITTED. Please check with your child                                     as this is a significant mark for our Language Arts this term.
                                Sweat a thon completed last Thursday. Students will need to return their pledge forms;                                          assembly this week.                                       
                                Coats for kids collection ongoing.    
                                School breakfast club .........Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.     
                              Samaritan's Purse: operation Christmas shoeboxes ongoing. Thanks for the many donations already sent in.Classes are asked to fill two boxes, one for boys and another for girls. If you have any spare school supplies or small unused toys, they are welcomed. Letter of explanation sent home Wednesday October 20.

--DARE program ongoing. This week another letter has been sent home for parents.

---Math.    chapter 3. Ongoing work about factors, prime and composite numbers, and multiples of a number. Students have not been applying themselves well during Math classes of late. There will be homework assigned nightly if students continue to be unfocused during class time.

--October newsletters These are two sided and orange in colour.  Second one for month went home Wednesday October 26. First one went home Tuesday October 5. Topics included: recycling blitzes, school council election results, sweat-a-thon, operation Christmas child, cafeteria orders, synre-voice.

--Language Arts: Students have finished Hatchet. Ongoing work on this novel being done in class including comprehension questions and other related work. All questions should be completed and ready to be submitted. Also, we have been creating new chapter titles as the author did not choose any.

--Students have received own copies of daily timetable; note that Phys Ed days are Day 2 and 4.


--School newsletter regarding  bus rules for ALL students went home September 14 and needs to be signed by parents.
