Participation Grade will be based upon a combination of(Self-Checklist) Hellison's levels of Responsibility Crusader High Five , preparedness , respectful interaction , effort and level of engagement
Fitness will be based on a students effort in class.*** (Fitness appraisal will not be used to provide actual mark to students)
Assignments will given in certain units to evaluate students knowledge of different activities.

The Intermediate Physical Education curriculum provides an understanding of the benefits of an active lifestyle and leads students to develop their personal wellness and movement skills so that they can participate in an active lifestyle.
This curriculum is an extension of the skills and knowledge taught in primary and elementary and prepares students for the more self-directed activities of high school.
Six Themes of Intermediate Physical Education:
The intermediate physical education program is designed to expose students to a variety of sports, movement and active - living experiences from the following six themes.
AlternativeActivities:(bowling,curling,gymnastics,multicultural games, nature walking, skating, skiing, skipping, golf, track and field ,etc.)
Court and Field:(badminton, baseball/softball, basketball, floorhockey,lacrosse, soccer, table tennis, volleyball, team handball, touch/flag football, etc.)
Fitness Activties:(circuit training, aerobics, cycling, fitness testing, jogging, strength/resistance traing, walking, etc.)
Leadership/Cooperative Activities:(adventure games, cooperative games, problem solving through movement, team building, etc.)
Outdoor Activities:(croos-country running, hiking, orienteering, skiing, snow-shoeing, skating, camping, cycling, etc.)
Rhythmic Activities:( circuit training, dance, musical games, aerobics, rhythmic gymnastics, skipping, etc.)
Each student is expected to fullly participate in his/her regularly scheduled p.e class. All students are encouraged to participate in recess and lunchtime activities.
Each student is expected to wear appropriate clothing for active movement (T-shirts, shorts , track pants, sneakers, ) NO JEANS so they can move comfortably and safely participate in the class activities.
