Each night students should read for 15-20 minutes. Students are then expected to record their book in their reading log (located at the beginning of agendas).
Spelling words will be given to students each Monday. The spelling test takes place first thing in the morning each Friday. If your child is not at school on the day of the test, he/she will not have to do a make-up test.
While your child may have weekly spelling activities from time to time, please do not expect them each week. I sometimes like to give children writing, Math or reading assignments.
I try to check homework agendas each morning. If you wish to leave a note for me, I usually see it. However; please do not leave urgent or very important messages in agendas, just in case I miss a day.
