Underground to Canada test next Thursday, Jan. 14. Currently reviewing novel.

Journal entry due Monday, Jan.11th- letter to author.

Spelling Bee Monday, Jan 11th- class rep. must be available on Tuesday 12th - 2:30pm.

Jan. 20th: library visit- novels signed out- reading own novel at home and in school - should be finished by Feb. 10. Book reports begin Feb 15.
Feb. 2nd- finish logo poster by Thursday
March 17th- ensure novel questions are up to- date.

Update on novel as of March 22- should be up to Chp 22 by tomorrow. Test scheduled for next week- Wednesday, March 31th. All students should have own copies for home reading if required. Questions assigned to date -  prologue - Chp. 10. Other: summary notes given in class.

Feb 9th- complete worksheet  for "The Story- Teller".

March 16 & 17th- select topic & make notes for in-class assignment "Rant or Rave" essay. Begins in-class on 18th. Due in on 26th. All work completed in class (unless some outside research is required).

March 22-26 students should currently be working on rough drafts in class.

Continue reading novel: Far North- beginning chp 6 on Monday April 19th. Read to Chapter 10 by Tuesday- April 20th.
April 20th- Read chapter 13 tonight.
April 21- read chapter 15 tonight.
April 22 - read chapter 17 tonight.
Tentataive date for test - April 30th - Rescheduled to Monday

Nov. 19th: Review & practice monologue for day 5. Will be presented following day 1. Evaluated as a speech & effort to create a character will be important. Will not be required to memorize but should be very comfortable w. text.
