On september 9th the students started to cut the material and hem for our
new curtains for the classroom. We hope to have them done in 2 weeks. Then
we are starting our aprons. They are interested in the sewing part of
their program. I have pictures already of them doing their work. As soon
as I learn how to put them on my web page I will show them to you. The
students have been busy since school started and are doing well,

Well good news. Our curtains are made and are ready to hang. The students
did a wonderful job. Thank-you Mrs. Parsons for your ideas and help.
Thank-you to Mr. Kitchen for putting up the brackets. Now, we will be
starting our aprons soon.
We are planning our Thanksgiving Dinner. More information will come later.
Justin and Kristen participated in the Special Olympic Walk on Saturday
and enjoyed the day with the athletes. kristen was one of the first ones
back, while Justin and I strolled in last. But it wasn't a race! Justin
and I admired the geese, ducks and pigeons along the way. The athletes met
the police horse, Townsend and the Fog Devil mascot, Scorch. It was a
beautiful day for a walk around Quidi Vidi. Good job everyone!
A special thank-you to Stephanie for her help since we started back to
school. She has been doing a lot of chores in school and usually starts on
her own. Great work Stephanie!
We had our Awards Assembly. The Judy Whelan Award went to Justin for the
2005-2006 school year. That's great Justin.
Nichole has been busy after lunch with delivering The Evening Telegram to
the classrooms. She is always looking to be involved in something. Keep
it up!
