Students are working on chapter 6 which deals with Newfoundlans role in World War 1

Students are working on chapter 5 of their Social Studies. This chapter deals with lifestyles and culture in the 19th century.

Students are preparing for chapter four test on Thurdsday , 17

Students have been working on in-class assignments  and video analysis  in chapter 4 dealing with the concept of how we are governed.

Heritage Fair projects are finished .
Students are to work on questions for chapter 3. Making a living in 19th century. please see attached powerpoint



November 1st

There will be a test  on November 8th for Grades 8(4) and 8(5) for chapters 1 and 2.

Heritage Fair projects now due on Nov 15th.



Oct 22

Students Are Reminded to prepare for test next week.
 
Students should use the Study guide link found in Chapter 1 and 2 test review link.



Oct 20th

Students are reminded that Questions for Chapter 2 are due over the next two classes.
 
Students should be preparing their Heritage Fair Project which is due the first week of November.
 
Test for Chapters One and Two will be scheduled for the later part of  next week.

 


Students are currently working on a mapping activity in class. They are examining the map of Newfoundland and Labrador. They will be working on this activity for the next few classes. By the end of this week we will begin chapter 1
 
 
Monday sept 27th
Students in 8 (4) and 8 (5) completed the written analysis document activity.
 
Friday Oct 1st
Students reminded that heritage fair proposal due Thursday, October 7th.
